Reset
Reset removes every document from your Opensolr Index and keeps its configuration. The index stays, empty, ready for fresh data.
It cannot be undone
Every document is deleted. Want to keep a copy? Create a backup first.
01 · When to use it
- You changed the schema and want to send all your data again.
- You move from test data to real data.
- You upload a new configuration ZIP: the panel itself recommends a Reset, to avoid data corruption.
02 · Steps
- Open the control panel of the index and click Tools.
- Under Utilities, click Reset.
- Confirm the warning: “Resetting will remove all your index data, and this action cannot be undone!”
- The window shows “Index has been reset successfully”.
03 · What stays
The configuration files, the login and IP rules, and every setting of the index. Only the documents go. To remove some documents only, use Delete By Query.
