Language, Locale, Date and Price Filters
Visitors can narrow the results of the hosted search page to one language, one country version of your site, a period of time or a price range. Language and locale are always there when your pages have them. Date and price are facets you choose to show.
Language
On the right of the tabs, the All Languages list shows each language found on your pages, with how many results it has. Picking one keeps only pages written in that language. Opensolr detects the language of every page by itself (how).
Locale
When your pages come in more than one locale, an All Locales button shows next to the language list. It opens a Select locale panel with a search box: first the languages, then the countries of each one, with their counts. Picking one keeps only that country version, for example English for the United Kingdom.
- The chosen locale shows above the results as a small label with an × to remove it.
- The locale filter applies to the Web tab. The Documents tab ignores it.
Date and price
Dates and prices are filtered in the sidebar, with the facets you turn on in Facet Filter Mapping:
- Date Range Picker on a date field: one click on Today, Last Week (the last 7 days) or Last Month (the last 30 days), or any From and To dates, then Apply.
- Min/Max Slider on the price field: drag the two handles or type the lowest and highest price, then Apply.
Each active filter shows above the results with an ×. Clear all removes them together. All five kinds of facets: The five facet widgets.
On your own website, the embed code can open the page with a language or a locale already chosen: data-lang and data-locale (Embed code options).
