Letters, digits, underscore, chosen for good

Index names

A few names belong to the platformbase, geo and names that start with geo_

The Index Name box comes filled with a random name. Keep it, or type your own.

02 · Where the name shows

In the address of the index (/solr/my_store/select, see Connect to your index) and in Solr > Index List.

03 · Need a different name?

There is no rename. Create a new index with the name you want, then either send your data to it again, or copy it with Replicate an index and turn replication off once the copy is done. Then point your site to the new address and delete the old index.

04 · Cluster names

A cluster name takes letters and digits only. Every other character, the underscore included, is removed.
