What the Chat Bot Uses From Your Plan

The AI allowance, and what deleting the index removes

What the Chat Uses From Your Plan

The chat counts against the monthly AI allowance of the account that owns the index, whoever the visitor is:

  • one request for each step of the assistant, usually two per question: one to choose its searches, one to write the answer. A question about what one long document says (a law, a manual, a long page or PDF) has that document read whole first, which takes one or two steps more;
  • one request for each search by meaning it runs, and for each picture of your site it describes;
  • /search and /translate count like a search and an answer; the commands that only look up a fact are free.

Work whose result Opensolr already has, and work that fails, is not counted. All of it, for every feature: what site search uses from your plan and API Quota.

You can change your plan at any time, up or down, in your Control Panel at Billing › Upgrade / Downgrade (the pricing page). Every change is pro-rated: you pay or get credit only for the difference over the unused part of your current period. To stop a paid plan and go back to the free plan: Billing › Cancel Plan. Details: Change or cancel your plan.

When you delete the index

Its Chat Bot goes with it: the settings, the conversations and the stats.
