What the Chat Bot Can Look Up
To answer a question, the assistant chooses what to search on your site and which facts to look up, runs them, and writes the answer from what comes back. It is told to answer only from those results: no invented products, prices, links or numbers. The same lookups work in all three ways of having the chat bot.
On your site
Facts
The same lookups visitors can run themselves with the commands:
/place./time./rate./vat and /vatcheck./distance./postal./ip./language.Your own apps can ask for the same facts by API: facts for chat bots and apps.
How it answers
- In the language of the visitor's last message.
- With a link to every product, page and document it mentions; a PDF page links to that exact page, with its number.
- Knowing today's date and time, and following your own instructions for its tone. For the chat run by Opensolr, both are on the Assistant tab.
- When nothing fits, it searches once more with other words, then says your site has nothing on it.
Each search by meaning and each picture described use the monthly AI allowance; the facts are free. What the chat uses from your plan
