I can't see an index shared with me
Someone shared an Opensolr Index with you, but it is not in your list of indexes. A shared index never shows up among your own indexes: you see it only inside a team session with the account that shared it.
Find the shared index
- Sign in to Opensolr with your own account.
- Open Account › My Team.
- Under Teams I am part of › Start session as, click the email of the person who shared the index.
The team session opens and the indexes they shared with you are there. To go back to your own indexes, click End session. More in Work as a team member.
What you see under Teams I am part of
- No invitations yet: you are not in their team. They add you with the email of your Opensolr account, from Add a member. If you have more than one Opensolr account, sign in with the one they added.
- No index shared yet next to their email: you are in their team, but they did not pick any index for you yet.
- 1 index shared, 2 indexes shared and so on, but not the one you look for: they did not pick that index for you.
What the owner of the index does
Only the account that owns the index can share it. In their Account › My Team, they click the index access icon on your row and select the index, as in Choose their indexes.
An index they create later is not shared with you on its own: they select it for you too.
