Opensolr Server Management

The control panel of your web server, with full root access

Opensolr Server Management is the control panel of a web server Opensolr runs for you. Your websites and their code, databases, backups, certificates and logs are in one place, inside your Opensolr account, and you keep full root access to the server.

Where: your Opensolr account › Servers › My Servers › click a server. The Servers menu appears once your account has a server.
You click in the control panel in your browser. Opensolr sends the action to the Opensolr agent on your server, which runs Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL and your sites. The agent sends a heartbeat back every 60 seconds. Every button you press goes through Opensolr to the Opensolr agent, a small service on your server. The agent reports back every 60 seconds.

01 · A server page

Each server has the tabs Overview, Monitor, Services, Terminal, Projects and Database, a Load Balancer tab when the server runs HAProxy, and a System menu with SSH Keys, Firewall, Logs, Config, Alerts and Housekeeping. A Logs bar sits at the bottom of every tab. The menu on the left has a page for each of them.

02 · Start here

  1. Add your first website on the Projects tab.
  2. Put your own certificate on it with Setup SSL.
  3. Choose who gets the emails in Alerts.
Opensolr installs and updates the agent. Everything else on the server is yours to change: from these pages, from the Terminal tab or over SSH. About the hosting itself: Website & App Hosting.
