Opensolr Keys is a free, open source keyboard for Android. It looks and feels like the iOS keyboard, corrects your English and Romanian offline, and does nothing else.
It cannot go online.
The app has no internet permission. Nothing you type, no word you keep, no setting, ever leaves the phone. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
01 · What it does
- The iOS look. White keys with the iOS layout, a number row, the round return key, a preview balloon over the key you press. See The keys.
- Long press on every key for its symbol and its accents, Romanian diacritics first. See Long press.
- Offline autocorrect for English and Romanian, from word tables bundled in the app, that reads the words around the one you typed. See Autocorrect.
- A list of words you keep as typed, yours to edit. See Words kept as typed.
- Emoji, in a panel with search, and suggested while you type. See Emoji.
- Sound, vibration, size and position, each with its own slider. See Settings.
02 · The shortest path
- Install the signed APK from GitHub. Android 8.0 or newer.
- Enable the keyboard and choose it, once, in Android.
- Type. Everything else is optional and lives in Settings.
