Daily Backups

A copy every day at midnight UTC

With the daily schedule on, your Opensolr Index makes its own backup every day at midnight UTC. You always have a recent copy, even of the changes you forgot to back up.

Start it

  1. Open the index in the Control Panel and click Backup.
  2. Click Start Daily Backup Schedule.

The tab then shows Your index backs up automatically every day at midnight UTC.

Stop it

Click Stop Daily Backup Schedule in the same place. The backups already made stay in the list until they expire.

Good to know

  • Each backup file is kept for 7 days, so the list holds about a week of daily copies.
  • The schedule belongs to one index. Start it on each index you want backed up.
  • If your plan no longer includes backups, the daily schedules of your indexes are stopped.
  • The schedule is started and stopped from the Backup tab only, not by API.
