What your index served
Query Analytics shows the requests your Opensolr Index answered, for any period you pick: how many, on which paths, which searches come back most often and the exact latest queries.
Open it
Open the index in the Control Panel and click Query Analytics in the left menu.
Pick what to see
- Start Date and End Date: the period.
- Metric:
- Request Volume: how many requests the index served.
- Request Path: which handlers they used, such as
/selector/update. - Popular Queries: the searches sent most often.
- Latest Queries: the most recent searches, one by one.
- All Cores Usage: how the requests split between all your indexes.
- View: group the numbers by Hour, Day, Month or Year.
The result shows as a chart under Visualization and as numbers under Data Table. If you own dedicated servers, the Metric list also offers the requests per server.
Latest Queries
The Latest Queries table lists each request with its date and time, query, path, IP address, status, hits, size and time. Narrow it with Search queries..., Filter by IP... and the HTTP status list. Click a row for Full Query Details: every parameter and the raw URL.
Some requests carry no search words, such as browsing all documents or a search by meaning only. They show as labels like [BROWSE QUERY], [EMPTY QUERY] or [VECTOR SEARCH]. Hide placeholder queries leaves them out.
Export
- Export CSV next to the Data Table: the numbers of the current metric.
- Export CSV next to Latest Queries: the filtered queries, up to 10,000 rows.
- Export PDF at the top: a report of the page.
Good to know
Query Analytics counts what your index answered, from any source. What visitors search on your site search page, the searches that find nothing and what they click are in Query Stats.
