Reset your password

  1. Open the sign-in page, https://opensolr.com/users/login: the first screen, with your email and password.
  2. Click Forgot your password? under the Sign In button. The Reset Password page opens: https://opensolr.com/users/reset_pass.
  3. Type the email address you sign in with, complete the captcha and click Reset Pass.
  4. Open the email Opensolr Password Reset and click Reset My Password.
  5. A second email, Opensolr - New Password, brings you a temporary password.
  6. Sign in with it, then open Account › Change Password. Under Change password, type your new password in Password and Confirm Password, then click Save profile.

Two-factor authentication stays on

A new password does not turn off two-factor authentication. After the temporary password, signing in still asks for the code from your authenticator app or your SMS code, as before.

The code screen has no password reset link. The reset is on the sign-in page, the first screen with your email and password.

No code? See sign-in asks for a code you don't have.

No email?

  • Look in your spam or junk folder.
  • Use the exact email address of your Opensolr account. The page shows the same message for every address, so a typo shows no error.
  • One reset email per address every 24 hours. Asking again sooner shows the same message but sends nothing.
  • The link in the first email works once. If it shows an error the second time, use the temporary password from the second email.
  • Still stuck? See who can email Opensolr support.
