Welcome!
Opensolr Search is a free TYPO3 extension that gives your site enterprise site search. Visitors get a search page with filters, suggestions as they type, search by meaning, search by image and short answers written from your own content, and a chat bot can answer them from your site. You get the search log in your TYPO3 backend. The searching itself runs on Opensolr, in your Opensolr Index, so TYPO3 carries no indexing load.
Two ways your content gets in
- Crawl, on the Data Crawler tab: Opensolr reads the pages of a sitemap the extension builds for you, documents included. Data Crawler
- Push, on the Data Ingestion tab: the extension sends your pages and document files to your index, each time you save one and in bulk. Data Ingestion
Use one or both. A page that arrives both ways is still one result, because Opensolr knows each page by its address.
What you need
- TYPO3 13.4 or TYPO3 14, installed with Composer, and PHP 8.2 or newer.
- An Opensolr account: create one. What each plan includes: https://opensolr.com/pricing.
- For the Data Crawler, a site address that starts with
https://.
The free plan and every current plan include AI with 500 AI requests a month: search by meaning, AI Hints, AI Reader and search by image use them. What counts as an AI request: What it uses from your plan.
