A copy of your index, right now
Make a backup before a big change: a new schema, a full reindex, a large import. If it goes wrong, you restore the backup and you are back where you were.
Make one
- Open the index in the Control Panel and click Backup.
- Click Create New Backup.
- Click Refresh after a while: the new file appears under Available Backup Files.
The backup holds the data of the index and its configuration files.
While it runs
- The file list is replaced by List is unavailable. There are pending actions, with each running action and the time it started.
- Create New Backup is hidden until the running action ends: one backup runs at a time.
Good to know
- Backup files are kept for 7 days, then removed automatically. Download the ones you want to keep longer: Download backup files.
