Welcome!
Opensolr PDF Reader is a free, open source PDF reader for Android. It shows the pages, lets you zoom and copy, and does nothing else.
Your PDFs stay on the phone.
The Google Play build has no network permission at all. The GitHub build uses the network for one thing: checking for its own updates. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
01 · What it does
- Only the pages. Full width, one under the other, nothing on the edges. A tap shows the controls. See Pages and zoom.
- Fast, sharp zoom. Pinch, double tap, drag and fling. See Pages and zoom.
- Copy any text with handles and a magnifier, across pages. See Copying text.
- Text from scans, read on the phone when you long press the page. See Scanned pages.
- Share in one tap: Add to Dropbox, the two apps you share to most, the share sheet. See Sharing.
- Back to the app you came from, top left. See Back.
02 · The shortest path
- Install the signed APK from GitHub. Android 8.0 or newer.
- Open a PDF and tap Always, so every PDF opens in it.
- Read. Everything else is a tap or a long press on the page.
03 · Beyond this documentation
