Free and paying accounts

A free account works until the day you set; from then it needs a plan.

Instalare › Setări › Conturi gratuite și plătitoare (Installation › Settings › Free and paying accounts) lists every account that has companies. A free account keeps working until you set the day from which it pays. It gets a mail at once, then 7 days before, one day before and on the day. From that day, without a plan, its companies are paused until it chooses one; nothing is deleted.

Only the superadmin sees this page. It is also linked from Facturare și planuri (Billing and plans).

01 · The list

The tabs Toate (All), Gratuite (Free), Plătitoare (Paying), Oprite (Paused) and Nu plătesc (Do not pay) each show how many accounts they hold. The search box finds an account by email or name.

Each row shows the account, how many confirmed companies it owns (with și N care așteaptă SPV (and N waiting for SPV) for the companies not open yet, see company confirmation), its status and its plan, with până la (until) and the end date of the period paid.

02 · The statuses
  • Superadmin: never pays.
  • Nu plătește (Does not pay): an exempt account. It never pays and is never limited by a plan.
  • Plătitoare (Paying): it has a paid plan.
  • Plata a eșuat (Payment failed): Stripe is still trying the card again. Until Stripe gives up, the account still counts as having a plan. See When a payment fails.
  • Gratuit, fără zi setată (Free, no day set): it works for free for as long as you leave it so.
  • Gratuit până la (Free until) and a date: it works for free until that day.
  • Oprit din (Paused since) and a date: the day has passed without a plan, so its companies are paused.
  • Abonament neplătit (Unpaid subscription): its subscription was cancelled or left unpaid.
03 · Setting the day from which an account pays

Billing has to be fully set up first: the Stripe keys, the company that issues the invoices and at least one active plan. See Billing and plans.

  1. Tick the accounts in the list. The box in the head of the table ticks them all.
  2. In the panel Pentru conturile bifate (For the ticked accounts), choose the date under Plătesc de la (Pay from): the day free use ends. Each account gets a mail right away with its plan and price.
  3. Enter the code from your authenticator app.
  4. Press Plătesc din ziua aceasta (Pay from this day).

The same panel has two more buttons for the ticked accounts:

  • Din nou gratuite, fără zi (Free again, no day): takes the day off. The accounts go back to free, with no day set.
  • Nu plătesc (Do not pay): makes the accounts exempt. They never pay.

The day can also be set for a single account, on its page under Conturi (Accounts).

04 · The mails

An account gets a mail when its day is set, then a reminder 7 days before, one day before and on the day itself. Each one is sent only once. The mail says:

  • the day from which the account pays;
  • how many companies it has;
  • the cheapest active plan that holds them, with its price per month (or per year) without VAT, and the price per company;
  • a link to choose the plan.

Until that day, the account also sees a notice on every page. What happens on the day, and how the companies open again, is on A company paused until a plan is chosen.

05 · Accounts with no day set
  • An account with Gratuit, fără zi setată (Free, no day set) keeps working for free, with all its companies.
  • While billing is on, it cannot add more companies until it chooses a plan.
  • When its subscription is cancelled or left unpaid and no day is set, its companies become read-only, as described in When a payment fails.
