Password reset by email

A new password from a link in the mailbox.

If you forgot your password, you set a new one from a link in your mailbox. Two-step verification stays: signing in still asks for the code from your authenticator app.

01 · Asking for the link
  1. On the sign-in page, press Ai uitat parola? (Forgot your password?).
  2. On Parolă uitată (Forgotten password), write the account's address under Email and press Trimite linkul (Send the link).
  3. Dacă un cont are această adresă, linkul este pe drum. Merge o singură dată, timp de o oră. (If an account has this address, the link is on its way. It works once, for 1 hour.) is shown. The answer is the same when the address has no account, so nobody can find out which addresses exist.

The mail is called Resetarea parolei pe Opensolr Accounting (Password reset on Opensolr Accounting) and comes in the language of the account. Too many requests in a short time are stopped with Prea multe încercări. Încearcă din nou peste câteva minute. (Too many attempts. Try again in a few minutes.)

02 · The new password
  1. Open the link in the mail. On Parola nouă (New password), write the Parolă (Password), at least 12 characters, and Parola, din nou (Password, again).
  2. Press Salvează (Save). Parola a fost schimbată. Autentifică-te cu ea și cu codul din aplicația de autentificare. (The password has been changed. Sign in with it and the code from your authenticator app.) is shown.

A link already used, expired or replaced by a newer one shows Linkul nu este valid (The link is not valid). Using the link also confirms your email address.

03 · Without a mail server

An installation without a mail server does not send the link. Lost your phone too? See Password and recovery codes.
