The superadmin

The first account of the installation, and what only it can do.

The superadmin is the first account of the installation, made in the setup wizard. It runs the installation itself; the companies are run by their own admins.

01 · What only the superadmin does
  • Opens Instalare (Installation) in the menu: Setări (Settings), Indexurile firmelor (Company indexes), Conturi (Accounts) and Cont nou (New account).
  • Changes every installation setting: the public address, sign-up, the installation's Opensolr account (optional), the mail server, the Dropbox app, the ANAF application, the REGES-ONLINE client secret and the payroll figures.
  • Manages the accounts: makes new ones, makes account admins, disables an account, resets someone's two-step verification.
  • Sees every company of the installation under Firmele tale (Your companies) and can open any of them.
  • Can add companies, like an account admin.
02 · Sharing the settings, not the accounts

The superadmin can let another account change the installation settings: on that account's page in Conturi (Accounts), tick Poate schimba setările instalării (adresa, Opensolr, mail, ANAF, REGES, cifrele salariale) (May change the installation settings). That person then sees Instalare › Setări and Indexurile firmelor, but not the accounts.

03 · Another superadmin

An existing account can be made superadmin only from the server, in the app's folder:

cd /opt/opensolr-accounting
sudo -u oa .venv/bin/python manage.py superadmin person@example.com

Adding --revoke takes it back. The installation always keeps at least one superadmin.
