Post a movement

To the invoice it pays, or to an account.

Open a movement from Banca (Bank). The heading says Încasare (Money in) or Plată (Money out) and the amount; below are the details, the partner, the bank’s reference and the format it came from. A card payment in another currency also shows what was paid in that currency.

01 · Post the movement
  • Money in: Factura emisă pe care o încasează (Issued invoice it collects). Money out: Factura primită pe care o plătește (Received invoice it pays). Each invoice in the list shows what is still to pay on it. Unpaid invoices with exactly this amount still to pay come first, the best one already chosen; then the invoices named in the details that have more left to pay than the movement, marked plată parțială (partial payment). Any other unpaid invoice can still be chosen.
  • A movement smaller than what is still to pay on the invoice is a partial payment: the page says so before you post it, and the rest of the invoice stays open, to be paid by another movement, by Stripe, through the cash desk or by hand.
  • A movement bigger than what is still to pay on the invoice is never posted to it. When the details name such an invoice, a warning says by how much it is more; post the movement to an account, or split it with the bank first.
  • No invoice? Choose Niciuna, contează pe un cont (None, post to an account) and write the account in Sau contul (Or the account), such as 627 bank fees, 581 transfers between own accounts, 4423 VAT paid, 455 associates. Accounts suggested from the bank’s wording are shown under it.
  • Press Contează (Post).
02 · What it does
  • Against an invoice: the client or the supplier is closed for the part the movement pays, and the payment appears on the invoice page with its date. When the payments reach the invoice’s total, the invoice is paid. For an invoice in a currency, the exchange difference of the part paid goes to 765 or 665.
  • With VAT on collection, each payment moves its share of the invoice’s VAT out of 4428 on its own date; the payment that completes the invoice moves exactly what is left.
  • A payment posted by mistake is undone by reversing its entry: only that payment comes off the invoice, the others stay, and the movement is open again.
  • Against an account: one entry between the bank account and that account.
  • The movement shows its Nota (Entry) and its Factura (Invoice). A Notă (Note) can be saved on any movement.
