When a payment fails

A warning first, then read-only companies. Nothing is deleted.

When a payment of your subscription does not go through, you get a warning first. If it stays unpaid, your companies become read-only until it is paid. Nothing is ever deleted for an unpaid subscription.

01 · The warning

Stripe tries the card again over the next days. Meanwhile, every page shows you: Ultima plată a abonamentului nu a trecut. Actualizați cardul, altfel firmele dumneavoastră devin doar pentru citire. (The last payment of your subscription did not go through. Update your card, or your companies become read-only.)

Change the card from Facturare › Abonament › Card și anulare (Stripe) (Billing › Subscription › Card and cancellation). The next try uses the new card.

02 · Read-only companies

When Stripe gives up, when the subscription is cancelled and its period is over, or when a period ends unpaid, every company you own becomes read-only, for everyone who works in it:

  • They can still open, see, search and export everything: the books, the invoices, the documents, the reports.
  • Nothing can be changed: no new entry, no invoice, no upload, no setting.
  • Each page of the company says so at the top.
03 · Back to normal

Pay the subscription, or choose a plan again. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the companies work as before, with everything in them.

The companies of the superadmin and of exempt accounts are never blocked.
