Stripe in the books

Charges, fees and refunds, posted; payouts left to the bank.

A Stripe account is treated as a balance of its own, in its currency, under account 5125 (sums being settled). Its movements reach the books in two ways: by themselves every six hours, once the administrator connects the Stripe account (see Stripe), or from Stripe’s itemized balance change report, uploaded by hand.

Payouts are left to the bank statement, so the money is counted once.

  • A charge collects the issued invoice whose number it carries.
  • Fees settle the Stripe supplier; Stripe’s monthly tax invoice for its fees comes in as a document and is registered as a received invoice.
  • A refund reopens the customer until its credit note.
  • Payouts are not posted here: the bank statement posts them.
02 · Upload the report by hand
  • Open Contabilitate › Import rapoarte (Bookkeeping › Import reports), choose the CSV under Raport (CSV) (Report (CSV)) and press Citește raportul (Read the report).
  • Open the read, then press Contează (Post). Rows the app is not sure about stay De verificat (For review), with the reason, such as no issued invoice with the number of the charge, or an invoice already paid.

The automatic reads appear in the same list, named after the Stripe account; their certain rows are already posted.
