Dropbox

A folder in Dropbox, read-only, whose new files become company documents.

A company can take its documents from a Dropbox folder: every new file in it becomes a company document, by itself. The app only reads from Dropbox; what is deleted there stays in the app.

The application only reads from Dropbox; what is deleted there stays in Opensolr Accounting.

01 · Once per installation: the Dropbox app

The superadmin makes one Dropbox app for the whole installation:

  1. At dropbox.com/developers/apps, create an app with Scoped access and Full Dropbox, and the permissions account_info.read, files.metadata.read and files.content.read.
  2. Give it the Redirect URI shown in Instalare › Setări › Dropbox (Installation › Settings › Dropbox). It is made from the public address.
  3. Copy the app key into Cheia aplicației (App key), enter the code from your authenticator app and Salvează (Save).

For new files to arrive the moment they are added, also enter the Secretul aplicației (App secret) and give the Dropbox app the Webhook URI shown on the same page. Without them, the folder is checked every 10 minutes, unless the server was set to another interval.

02 · Per company: the folder
  1. Firma › Dropbox (Company › Dropbox), then Conectează Dropbox (Connect Dropbox), and allow the app in Dropbox.
  2. Back in the app, Alege folderul cu documentele firmei (Choose the folder with the company documents): open the folders down to the right one and press Alege (Choose).
  3. The files already in it are taken now, and every new one from then on.

The page then shows the Dropbox Cont (Account), the Folder, and the Ultima sincronizare (Last sync) with how many files were seen. Sincronizează acum (Sync now) checks the folder straight away; Conectează din nou (Connect again) appears when Dropbox stops accepting the connection; Deconectează (Disconnect) ends it, and the documents already taken stay.

Who can do this: the administrators, and the accountants allowed to set the connections.
