The installation sends its mail through an SMTP server you choose: invitations, the one-time password of a new account, and the daily mail with new laws and fiscal news. Without one, the app still works; invitation links and passwords are then shown on screen for you to pass on.
01 · The fields
In the setup wizard, or later in Instalare › Setări › Server de mail (Installation › Settings › Mail server):
- Server (Host): for example
smtp.example.com. - Port: 587 unless your provider says otherwise.
- Criptare (Encryption): STARTTLS or SSL/TLS.
- Utilizator (User) and Parolă (Password), when the server asks for them.
- Adresa expeditorului (Sender address): the From of every message.
02 · Testing it
In the setup wizard a test message goes to your own address as soon as you save. In the installation settings, once a server is set, Trimite un mesaj de test la (Send a test message to) your address does the same at any time. If the message does not leave, the reason is shown at the top of the page.
