Map shows the photos that carry a place, as picture pins on OpenStreetMap. It follows what you typed and the filters you have on, so a search for beach maps only the beach photos.
- Photos close together on screen share one pin, showing one of their pictures and how many there are. Zoom in and the pins split.
- On opening, the map frames every photo it found. The line next to the title says how many have a place.
- As you move or zoom, the photos of the area on screen are loaded again, so the pins fill the part of the world you are looking at.
- When nothing has a place, the map says so: none of your photos carries a GPS position yet, or none that matches this search.
Click a pin. A sheet says how many photos are there and the commonest city and country, with their pictures. Click a picture to open it in the viewer, walking only through the photos of that pin.
- Search this area turns what is on screen into a distance filter around its middle and goes back to the photo grid. Change the distance or take it off in Filters.
- Reload loads the photos again and frames them all.
Show on map, under a photo in the viewer, opens this screen zoomed in on that photo's spot.
