Opening photos and clips from other apps

A photo or a clip opened from a file manager, a chat or the camera opens in Opensolr Photos.

A photo or a clip opened from another app, a file manager, a chat or the camera’s preview, can open in Opensolr Photos.

  1. Tap a photo or a clip in the other app.
  2. Android asks which app should open it. Pick Opensolr Photos.
  3. Tap Always to make it the app that opens your photos and videos from now on, or Just once.
01 · What you get
  • The photo on its own, over the app it came from, whether or not it is in your library: pinch to zoom, double tap to zoom in or back.
  • A clip plays in the app’s player, with its controls.
  • Back returns to the app you came from.
  • A file it cannot show says This file cannot be opened here.
02 · Changing it later

To let another app open your photos again, clear the default in Android: Settings › Apps › Opensolr Photos › Open by default. The names of these screens vary a little from phone to phone.
