get_index_list

The indexes in your account: is this phone's index there, and which phones have one.

The list of the indexes in your account. The app uses it to know whether this phone's index exists, and to offer the indexes of your other phones when a new phone signs in.

01 · The call
POST https://opensolr.com/solr_manager/api/get_index_list

A form with email and api_key.

When the app calls it:

  • at setup, to find this phone's index or to ask Re-use one of these indexes from your Opensolr account?;
  • at the start of a sync, only when photos_sync_info could not answer.
02 · The answer

A JSON list, one entry per index. The app reads index_name, and for photo indexes device_name, device_id, num_docs, last_index and created: the phone each index was made for, how many photos it holds and when it last synced, which is what the re-use question shows.

The rule that prevents stray indexes

The app creates an index only after this list was read successfully and did not contain it. A network error, a server error or a refused key never leads to a create.

Every call it makes
