The app speaks plain S3, so any service that does too is a backup place. The only difference from AWS is the Endpoint field: the address of the service, which you copy from its own pages.
01 · The fields, service by service
Backblaze B2
Cloudflare R2
Wasabi
Hetzner Object Storage
MinIO, your own
02 · The same four rules
- Make the bucket private. The app never needs a public bucket.
- Make a key that can reach only that bucket, and only to list, write, read and delete files in it. Every service above can do that.
- The endpoint must start with
https://; a plainhttp://address is refused. - Then exactly as with AWS: Test connection, Save and start backup. See Test connection, Save.
