Tick some photos, tap PDF, give the file a name, and the app makes one PDF with a page per photo. Handy for receipts, scanned pages or a set of screenshots.
01 · Making it
- Press and hold the first photo, then tick the others, in the order you want the pages. See selecting photos.
- Tap PDF in the bar at the bottom.
- The dialog, Save N photos as PDF, offers a File name (Photos and today's date to start with). Change it if you like and tap Save.
- A bar counts the pages as they are made; Cancel stops and leaves no file behind.
- A message says Saved and the file name. If some photos could not be read, it says how many made it.
02 · What is in it
- One page per photo, in the order you ticked them. Each page has the shape of its photo, turned the way you see it.
- Each photo goes in at most 1024 px on its long side, sharp enough to read and small enough to send.
- A photo held on this phone only as its 720p copy goes in from its full file in your backup, at your backup quality. With no backup, or when the backup cannot be reached, the 720p copy is used.
- Your photos are not changed.
03 · Where it goes
- Into the folder of the first photo you ticked. When Android does not let the app write a PDF there, it goes into a folder of the same name under Documents; with All files access (the GitHub version) it goes into the photo's folder itself.
- That folder is added to the ones you sync if it was not one, and a sync starts. With PDF files on under Sync, Also index, the PDF is indexed page by page and shows first in the grid. See PDF files.
- With a backup, it is backed up like any PDF, and your other phones get it too.
