Selecting photos

A long press starts it; the bar at the bottom acts on every ticked photo.

Press and hold a photo to start selecting. A bar appears at the bottom with what you can do with the ticked photos: tag, share, make a PDF, have them read again, or delete them.

01 · Ticking
  • A long press ticks the photo and starts the selection. From then on a tap ticks or unticks.
  • Keep your finger down and drag to tick every photo you pass; start on a ticked photo and the drag unticks instead. Near the top or bottom edge the grid scrolls by itself.
  • A tap on a heading ticks its whole group, a year, a month or a day, not only the photos loaded on screen.
  • Best matches and Also similar cannot be ticked as a group: the line between them moves as more results arrive.
  • The selection ends when the last tick goes, or when you tap the count with the tick mark above the grid.

In similar photos, Select 1 of each group ticks one photo of every group for you.

Tag N

Tags and a place for all the ticked photos. See editing tags, people and words.

Share

Choose Originals, full resolution as taken, or 1024 px, smaller copies that keep the date, camera and place. Then pick the app to share with.

PDF

One PDF, one page per photo, in the order you ticked them, at up to 300 dpi. Name the file and choose where it goes. See scanning documents.

Re-sync N

Sends the ticked photos through Opensolr again, at a sync that starts right away, whatever the index holds about them. What Opensolr already read from the same picture comes back from its cache. Photos edited in place are noticed by the sync on their own; this is for when you want a photo read again anyway.

Del

Deletes them from the phone and from your index, after a warning. See deleting photos.
