AI Hints gives your visitors a short answer to their search, written from your own content. It is a button: nothing is generated until the visitor asks for it.
Turn it on
On the Search Page tab, tick AI Hints ("Show AI-generated answer above search results") and click Save Search Page.
What visitors see
- An AI Hints button in the row above the results, when the search found something.
- A click shows "Generating AI answer..." and then the answer, written word by word, above the results. The search needs at least 3 characters.
- The answer is written from the 4 documents of your index that best match the search, so it stays on your content.
- With Fresh on, it is written from the same newer documents the visitor sees.
What it uses from your plan
Each answer uses AI requests from your plan. Every plan includes AI with 500 AI requests a month, and the paid AI tiers on https://opensolr.com/pricing add more: What it uses from your plan.
