With Real-Time Sync on, your Opensolr Index follows your edits as you make them: a post you publish or update is sent at once, and a post you unpublish or delete leaves the index at once. No crawl, no waiting.
Turn it on
- Open Settings > Opensolr Search, tab Data Ingestion.
- Under Content Types for Ingestion, tick the types to keep in sync.
- Tick Real-Time Sync: "Push to Solr immediately on post save/delete".
- Click Save Ingestion Settings.
What it reacts to
- Publish or update a post, page or product of a ticked type: it is sent to your index.
- Save it as anything but published (draft, pending, private), or unpublish it, or move it to the Trash: it is removed.
- Delete it permanently: it is removed.
- WooCommerce: a product created or updated, or a change of stock or stock status, sends the product again.
- Documents, when Include attached files is ticked on this tab: an uploaded document file is sent, a deleted one is removed, and a replaced file swaps the old document for the new one.
Autosaves and revisions are ignored.
When a call fails
The post is sent while WordPress saves it. If Opensolr cannot be reached, the post is still saved in WordPress, only not in your index yet. A later save of the post, or Ingest All Now, sends it again.
