WordPress Native is the default way to show your search page: the plugin draws it with its own template, inside your theme. Its options are on the Search Page tab, under the WordPress Native switch. Click Save Search Page when you are done, and Open Search Page, at the top of the tab, to see the result.
General
- Results Per Page: from 5 to 100, in steps of 5. 20 by default.
- Result Thumbnails: Show (default) or Hide the picture next to each result.
- Solr field for result image: where the picture comes from.
og_imageby default, filled for you from the main picture of each post or product. Click the field to pick another one from the fields of your index. To use your own image field, map it first on the Facet Mapping tab with a single-value type, then crawl or ingest again: Field Mappings. - Theme: Light (default) or Dark, for every visitor.
- Browse Mode: "Show empty page" (default) waits for a search; "Browse mode" lists everything at once, so visitors can browse and filter with the facets before they type.
Search Features
- Autocomplete (on by default): suggestions as visitors type. Autocomplete and Did you mean
- Spellcheck (on): "Did you mean?" suggestions.
- Highlighting (on): the searched words are marked in titles and snippets.
- AI Hints (off): an answer written from your content, on a click. AI Hints
- Search Documents (off): Web and Documents tabs above the search box. Web and Documents tabs
- AI Reader (off): a Read button on every result. AI Reader
- Analytics (on): logs searches and clicks in your WordPress database, with IP addresses only as SHA-256 hashes. Search analytics
- Powered-by Credit (off): a "Powered by Opensolr" link at the bottom of the search page, and nowhere else.
Pagination
- Numbered pages (default): page numbers with previous and next arrows.
- Infinite scroll: more results load as the visitor scrolls down.
