With the Opensolr Embeddable Search UI switch on, your search page shows the hosted search page of your Opensolr Index, served by Opensolr, inside the page instead of the plugin's own template. Your theme's header and footer stay around it. The switch is on the Search Page tab, below WordPress Native; only one of the two is on at a time.
Options
- Search Toolbar: Show (default) or Hide the search bar at the top.
- Initial Query: a search that runs when the page opens with no search of its own.
- Result Thumbnails: Show (default) or Hide.
- Facet Sidebar: Hide (default) or Show the filters.
- Pagination: Infinite scroll (default) or Page numbers.
- UI Theme: Light (default) or Dark.
- Layout: Default or Full width.
Click Save Search Page. A search that reaches your search page in its address (?q=) is passed on to the hosted page.
Generated Embed Code
After saving, the tab shows the code that matches your options. You can paste it on any other website to show the same search there: Put the search page on your site. Every option it accepts: Embed options.
What changes in this mode
The hosted page uses the settings of your index in the Opensolr Control Panel. These plugin features do not apply to it:
- the WordPress Native options;
- the Facet Configuration of the Facet Mapping tab, and the Search Tuning, Elevation and Filters tabs;
- the search log of the Analytics tab: searches made here are not logged in WordPress.
Everything the hosted page can do: Hosted search page.
