Signature

One signature under every message you send, from every account.

One signature, written once, under every message you send from every account. No Opensolr account needed.

01 · Write it
  1. Open Settings → Preferences → Signature.
  2. Write your signature in the box, as it will look.
  3. Select words and use Bold, Italic, Underline or Link; a link takes its text and its address. Clear takes the marks and links off the selected words, or off the whole signature when nothing is selected.

It is saved as you write. Only bold, italic, underline, links and line breaks are kept, and pasted text comes in as plain words.

02 · Where it goes
  • Under what you write, in every new message, reply and forward, from every account, and above the quoted message of a reply.
  • While you write, it shows under your text exactly as it will be sent.
  • It is sent twice in one: formatted for mail apps that show formatting, and as plain text after the usual -- line for the others, each link written as its words and its address.
  • A draft saved with the signature opens again with it in its place.
03 · With no signature in the app

Leave the box empty and each account sends the signature you set for it in Fastmail, as before. The app’s signature, when written, takes the place of the Fastmail one for every account.
