Signing in

One sign-in with your Opensolr account, in the browser. The app creates your notes index on its own.

You sign in on Opensolr’s own page, in the phone’s browser. The app never sees your password.

  1. Tap Sign in with Opensolr. The Opensolr login opens in your browser.
  2. Sign in, with your two-factor code if you use one, and approve the app.
  3. You are back in the app. It creates your notes index and you can write the first note.

01 · What the phone gets

The sign-in gives this phone a key of its own, not your password. Every phone signed in to the account has its own key, listed in Account → Devices on opensolr.com, where it can be revoked at any time. See Signing a phone out.

02 · A second phone

When the account already has a notes index from another phone, the app asks what to do with it:

  • Share it, so both phones see the same notes.
  • Start this phone’s own, a second index with its own notes.

See The index and sync.
