Sharing a note with a link

A link that opens the note in any browser, read only or editable, with an end date if you want one.

A link opens the note itself in any browser, for anyone who has it. No account, no app, no code.

  1. Open the note and tap Share, then Share link.
  2. Leave They can edit it too off for a note they can only read, or turn it on to let them change it.
  3. Pick when it Expires: never, after 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or 1 year.
  4. Tap Make link, then Copy, and send it the way you like.
01 · What the link does
  • It opens the note in the browser, at notes.opensolr.com. It never opens the Notes app, even on a phone that has it.
  • Whoever has it reads the note, or edits it when you allowed that. Nobody can delete your note through a link.
  • A note can have several links, each with its own editing and its own end.
  • A note with a link shows a small link icon in the list, in the app and on the web.
02 · Stopping it

A link stops on the day it expires, or the moment you remove it: Remove in the same Share link box, or Revoke in Your note links.

03 · On the web

An open note on the web page has the same Share link, with the same choices. When someone edits through a link while you have the note open, see When someone edits through a link.
