Checklists

A box at the start of a line, ticked with a tap, in the app and on the web.

A checklist is a box at the start of a line. Tap the box to tick it.

  1. Put the cursor on a line, or select several lines.
  2. Tap the Checklist button, next to the link button above the note. Every line the selection touches gets a box. When they all have one already, the same button takes the boxes away.
  3. Tap a box to tick it. Tap it again to untick it.
01 · Typing a list
  • Enter on a checklist line starts the next line with a box.
  • Enter on an empty checklist line takes its box away, and the list ends there.
  • Text copied from a checklist and pasted back keeps its boxes.
02 · Everywhere the note goes
  • The editor on the web has the same Checklist button, and the boxes tick there too.
  • Your other phones and the web page show the same boxes, ticked or not.
  • Shared as a Word file, the boxes still tick in Word. See Sharing a note as a file.
