The search page

Your notes on the web, behind the index password and your two-factor code: search, read, edit, write, pin and reorder.

Every notes index has a page on the web, https://search.opensolr.com/<index>, where you search, read, write and edit your notes from any browser. Open the search page in Settings takes you there.

01 · Who gets in
  • The page asks for the index password, the user and password of the index in your Opensolr account (Index password and security in Settings opens the place to see or change them).
  • Then for your two-factor code, the one of the account that owns the index.
  • A signed-in session lasts 10 days. Sign out, on the page, ends it at once.
02 · Reading and writing
  • Search works as in the app: words and meaning, the filters, the matching passage highlighted.
  • A result opens the note in a dialog. Edit turns it into the editor: title, category, text with B, I and U, then Save or Cancel, and Delete note, on one row at the top and at the bottom.
  • New note writes a note from the browser. It reaches the phone at the next sync.
03 · Pinning and ordering

With no search typed, the page lists your notes, and that list can be arranged: PIN keeps a note at the top, EXCLUDE hides it, and the notes can be dragged into any order. This is the index’s elevation, which the app switches on for a notes index; it is also under Elevation in the control panel.

04 · Asking

The Ask this site button on the page is the chat with your notes. See Asking your notes.
