Searching your notes

Type what you remember. Words and meaning are matched together, and the passage with your words is shown highlighted.

Type in the box at the top of the list. The search runs in your own Opensolr Index, by words and by meaning together, the same way search.opensolr.com searches.

  • By the words: a name, a number, an address, a host name is found as written.
  • By the meaning: “where did I put the router password” finds the home server note that never used the word router.
  • The passage, highlighted. Each result shows the part of the note where your words are, with the words marked.

The X clears the search and brings the list back. The arrow next to the box opens the filters.

01 · Words only

Settings → AI → Search by meaning switches the meaning off; the search then matches words only, and uses no AI requests. With it on, each search counts against the AI use of your plan.

02 · How the words and the meaning are weighed

The app searches with the Search Tuning your index has in the Opensolr control panel. See Search Tuning.
