A notes index comes with its own Search Tuning, and the app reads it from Opensolr before every search. What you save on the index in the control panel wins.
Notes are short, and the exact words in them matter more than in a web page: a code, a name, a host. So a notes index starts with these values:
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Lexical weight | 0.70 (words count more than meaning) |
| Field weights | Title 0.1, Description 0.1, URI 0.1, Text 5, LD text 5 |
| Minimum Match | Balanced |
| Search Mode | Union |
| Vector pool | 1000 |
| Quality boost | 0 |
| Fresh bias | 0.5 |
Open your index in the control panel, then Index Settings → Search Tuning, and save what you prefer. The app and the search page use the saved values from the next search on. The settings are explained in Search Tuning of the platform documentation.
