Search Tuning in TYPO3

How results are ranked on your search page

The Search Tuning tab decides how results are ranked on your search page. The defaults suit most sites. Changes apply to the next search, with no crawl or ingestion needed. Each control below links to the page that explains it in depth.

Field Weights

How much a match in each part of a page counts: Title (0.1 by default), Description (0.03), URI (0.01), Text (0.01) and LD Text, the text of the page's structured data (0.03). Each takes a value from 0.01 to 999.99. Field weights

  • Meaning Req.: the meaning must match, words add to the score.
  • Intersection: both must match.
  • Lexical Only: words only, for every search. The AI switch is hidden from visitors.
