With Real-Time Sync on, your Opensolr Index follows your edits as you make them: a page you save is sent at once, and a page you hide or delete leaves the index at once. No crawl, no waiting.
Turn it on
- Open Site Management > Opensolr Search, tab Data Ingestion.
- Under Content Types for Ingestion, tick Pages, and Include document files for your documents.
- Tick Real-Time Sync: "Push to Solr immediately when a page, content element or file is saved or deleted".
- Click Save Ingestion Settings.
What it reacts to
- Save a page, in any language: it is sent to your index, with its content elements.
- Save a content element: the page it belongs to is sent again, so the text in the index follows your edits.
- Hide a page, switch off Include in search, or delete it: it is removed from the index.
- Documents, when Include document files is ticked on this tab: a document file you add in the file list is sent, a deleted one is removed, and a replaced file swaps the old document for the new one.
When a call fails
The page is sent while TYPO3 saves it, with a 5-second limit, so saving never waits on Opensolr. If Opensolr cannot be reached, the page is still saved in TYPO3, only not in your index yet. A later save of the page, or Ingest All Now, sends it again.
