Categories

Two words for every note. Type them, or leave the field empty and Opensolr AI fills it in.

Every note has a category of two words. It is shown next to the date in the list, and it is a filter in search.

01 · Set by Opensolr AI
  • Leave the field empty and the note is saved with a category Opensolr AI reads from the text: two words, such as Garden, Homelab or Travel.
  • Clear the category of a note and save: it is estimated again.
  • Type your own and it stays as you wrote it. The field offers the categories your notes already use, so the same word is not spelled three ways.
02 · Switching it off

Settings → AI → Categories by AI turns the automatic category off. A note saved without a category then stays without one. Each category Opensolr AI sets counts against the AI use of your plan.
