Sound and vibration

The Pixel tap sound with its own volume, and vibration with its own strength. Each can be off.

Two kinds of feedback on every key, each with its own switch and its own slider, in Settings.

  • Key sound. The discrete tick of a Pixel phone, bundled in the app so it sounds the same on any phone. On by default. Volume is the keyboard’s own, apart from the phone’s media volume.
  • Vibration. Off by default. When on, Strength sets how hard the tap is. This is the one permission the app asks for.

Type in the Try it box at the bottom of the app to hear and feel a change as you make it.
