Opensolr Photos 2.7.0: Edits Picked Up in Seconds, Your Place Kept, Searchable Filters

Opensolr Photos 2.7.0 gathers the fixes from 2.6.3 onwards: edits made in other apps show up on their own, and the grid stays where you left it.

01 Edits in the gallery show up on their own

While the app is open, a photo you edit in the gallery is picked up within seconds, without a manual sync. The thumbnail shows the new picture straight away. Only changes in the folders you chose start a sync: a screenshot or a chat picture elsewhere does not. Coming back to the app checks those folders in one quick look, so an edit made while Android had closed the app is picked up too.

02 Your place in the list is kept

After a sync, the grid used to jump somewhere else in your photos. It now stays exactly where you left it, and with a search or a filter on, the photos keep the order you were looking at. Pulling down to refresh keeps every photo you had already loaded, not only the first page.

03 Headings with the year, searchable filters

• Months read “Jun. 2026” and days “Sun. Mar. 15 2026”, so a heading far from its year still says exactly when.
• A filter with more than 50 values shows a small search field: tap it for the most frequent values, type to find the rest, and pick as many as you like.
• Fixed a crash when dragging the fast scroll bar while the list was changing.

A photo edited in the gallery and saved as a copy is a new photo to the app: it is read from scratch and does not carry the tags or people of the original, and a filter can change what it is found by. See troubleshooting.
