Opensolr Photos 3.17: Save Selected Photos as One PDF
Receipts for the accountant, a contract shot page by page, the documents for a form: Opensolr Photos 3.17 puts the photos you select into one PDF, named by you and saved where you choose.
01 Select, tap PDF, save
- A new button in the selection bar. Select photos the usual way, by tapping or by dragging across them, and tap PDF, between Share and Re-sync.
- You name it. The app asks for a file name first, with today's date already filled in.
- You choose where it goes. The phone's own save screen opens next: Downloads, Documents, a folder of your own, or any cloud drive the phone has.
- Progress you can stop. The pages are counted as they are made. Cancel, and nothing is left half written.
02 Readable and small
- One page per photo. Each page has the shape of its photo, turned upright, in the order you see them in the grid.
- 1024 px on the long edge. Text on receipts, invoices and contracts stays sharp enough to read and for OCR to pick up.
- As small as it gets. Each photo is stored once, as a compact JPEG, with nothing added around it, so a stack of receipts fits in an email.
- Your originals stay as they are. The PDF is made from copies; nothing in your photos changes.
Opensolr Photos updates itself from GitHub. If you installed it before, it offers the new version on its own within a day.
