Opensolr Photos 3.18: Edit Your Photos, With Shapes That Draw Themselves
Opensolr Photos 3.18 has its own photo editor. Open a photo, tap the pencil, and crop, resize, rotate, draw or write on it, then save it over the original or as a new photo next to it. Everything stays on your phone.
01 Crop, resize, rotate
- Crop. Drag the corners or the sides of the frame, or move the whole frame, and tap Apply.
- Resize. Type the width or the height in pixels. The chain between them keeps the aspect ratio when closed and lets each side change alone when open. The file size is shown before and after, measured on the real image, not estimated.
- Rotate. 90 degrees left or right, as many times as needed.
02 Draw and write
- One pen. Eight colours, bright red first, and a size you pick. What you see on screen is what lands in the photo.
- Shapes that draw themselves. Draw a circle, an oval, a rectangle, a triangle, a line or an arrow by hand and hold the finger still for a moment at the end: it becomes the perfect shape. It works even when the outline is left open. Lift the finger right away and the line stays exactly as drawn.
- Text. Tap where the text goes, type it, pick its colour and size.
- Move anything. Drag a text to another spot; hold a drawing for a moment and drag it. Undo and redo cover every step.
03 Save it your way
- Overwrite the original or save as a copy next to it, named with
-edited. The date, the camera and the place of the photo are kept in both. - Your index follows. A photo saved over is read again first by the next sync, so search and its details match the new picture.
Opensolr Photos updates itself from GitHub. If you installed it before, it offers the new version on its own within a day.
