Privacy

No network permission on Google Play, no account, no analytics. Your PDFs stay on the phone.

Not a policy: the permissions the app does not have.

No network on Google Play.

The Google Play build has no internet permission. Android will not let it open a connection, and you can check it in the app’s permissions.

01 · What leaves the phone
  • Your PDFs: only when you share one, to the app you choose.
  • The GitHub build asks github.com once a day for its latest release. Nothing about you or your PDFs goes with it.
  • Nothing else. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reports, no ads.
02 · What stays on the phone
  • The pages and their text, read by PDFium inside the app.
  • The text of scanned pages, read by OCR on the phone. See Scanned pages.
  • A count of the apps you share to, used only for the buttons along the bottom.
03 · What it asks for
  • No storage permission. It reads the one PDF another app hands it, or the one you pick.
  • Vibration, for the tap under your finger.
