Select text the way you select it anywhere else on your phone: a long press, two handles, a magnifier.
01 · Selecting
- Long press a word. It is selected, with a handle at each end.
- Keep your finger down and move it to stretch the selection, or lift it and drag either handle.
- The handles move one letter at a time. A magnifier shows the text under your finger while you drag.
- Drag a handle to the top or bottom edge and the pages scroll by themselves, so a selection can run across pages.
02 · Copying
- Copy and Whole page float above the selection once your finger is up.
- Copy puts the text on the clipboard, with its spaces and line breaks, and clears the selection.
- Whole page selects every word of the page the selection starts on.
- A tap anywhere else, or Back, clears the selection.
03 · When nothing is selected
- A long press where nothing is written says No text found on this page instead of selecting text somewhere else.
- A page that is only a picture is read first. See Scanned pages.
