Five commands answer where something is and what time it is there. Each answer with coordinates has a map link.
/time <place, coordinates or IP address>The local date and time right now, with the time zone and its offset from UTC. Give a place, coordinates as latitude, longitude, or an IP address. With nothing after it: the visitor’s own local time, from their IP address.
/place <place, address or coordinates>Finds a place or a street address and gives its region, country, postal code when there is one, and coordinates. Give coordinates to learn what is there.
/distance <place> to <place>The straight-line distance between two places, addresses or coordinates, in kilometres and miles. The two can also be joined by | or by a dash with spaces around it.
/postal <postal code or town>Up to 8 postal codes with their place, region and country, and up to 5 street addresses that have them. Give a code, a code and a town, or a town and a country.
/ip <IP address>Where an IP address is: city, region, country and time zone. With nothing after it: the visitor’s own approximate location.
When a place is not found, the answer says so. /time and /ip with nothing after them send the visitor’s IP address to Opensolr for the lookup; the other commands send only what the visitor wrote.
