Opensolr Search for WordPress 1.0.40: One Result per PDF, Suggestions From Any Word, and a Search Page That Stays in Place

· WordPress Plugin · Improvement · All updates

Opensolr Search for WordPress 1.0.40 makes PDF results easier to read, suggestions smarter, and keeps the search page in place while you scroll.

01 One result per PDF

  • Each PDF once. The Documents tab shows a PDF a single time, with its best matching pages right under it, instead of repeating the document for every page.
  • Real page count and Show more pages. The group header shows the PDF's page count, and the next matching pages load in place.

02 Suggestions from any word

  • Any word, any position. Typing curr suggests the past search measuring alternating current. Before, only its first letters did.
  • Nothing to run. The plugin creates its suggestion tables and fills them from your existing search log on its own after the update.

03 A search page that stays in place

  • Search box and PDF headers. Both stay pinned under the admin bar while you scroll. Before, nothing on the search page stayed on screen.
  • Sort, Fresh, AI and facets. On desktop the controls row and the facet sidebar stay pinned too; the sidebar fits the screen and scrolls on its own, so every facet is reachable even with infinite scroll.
  • Theme header. A search form in the theme header above the search page is no longer partly covered.
